Contrasts
Here's a question: how come when several hundred thousand people protest all over Ukraine about the theft of their democracy, it all goes rather peacefully, yet when just a couple of hundred pro-hunting protestors gather in Cardiff, there's all sorts of trouble?

Well, it might just be 'cos the hunting community are really really pissed off; for years and years they have been regularly assaulted by anti-hunting protestors; there are loads of reports of this and the police did bugger all about it. Now their sport and for some people their livlihoods are under really under threat and they've decided its payback time. If the antis can use violence and get away with it, why shouldn't the hunters? Of course I am not saying it is justified, just thats how they feel.
Also, the Ukrainians probably fear that they will be shot by their police if things get lively; this is not usually the case in the UK.
I guess it is the tension that the situation in the Ukraine could easily escalate dramatical which means everyone is careful to keep it very peaceful, but it is something that a lot of other protests would be better served if they acheived.
