Liberal airhead
Via the whining rotter Green Fairy, The F Scale test:
Fifty years ago, the Authoritarian Personality studies attempted to "construct an instrument that would yield an estimate of fascist receptivity at the personality level."It's probably more interesting as something that prompts thought on the nature of the personality that's receptive to authoritarian ideas rather than as a test of whether you possess it yourself - the phrasing of the questions, for instance, makes it easy to work out which end of the scale will give you a higher rating - but not a bad way to waste a few minutes, should you desire to. I scored 2, by the way.
This online, interactive F Scale presents that instrument in its final form.

The best bit of that page is the final sentence. 'T. W. Adorno returned to the University of Frankfurt, where he amused himself as a principal figure in the Frankfurt school of "critical theory", producing a Freudian-Marxist melange of pseudo-scientific speculative foolishness that is now, thank God, thoroughly discredited.'
I remember because I blogged it some time last year.
Hand on heart, I don't think I've ever taken a test where I've more frequently chosen the 'Disagree strongly' option!
Like Nick, I too appear to be a liberal airhead, though what precisely that means (I've just read the piece in this week's Economist trying to reclaim the term - 'liberal', not 'airhead' - from both Americans and Europeans) I'm not sure.
At 2.63 I'm a particularly fascistic liberal airhead. Achtung!
