		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for writing this up.  I&#039;ve thought for some time that Sky Sports would be the logical sponsor/organiser.  They have vast tracts of airtime to fill, and this would be a way to put money somewhere that women&#039;s cycling would get much more benefit than organising a women&#039;t Team Sky.  There aren&#039;t the events for women to enter that come close to matching the men&#039;s Giro, Tour and Vuelta.

It would also have the advantage that it would be a completely separate funding stream from Team Sky / British Cycling, so the management there, who are not noted for their support for women&#039;s road cycling, would be separated from it, while also being an effective counter to the question of why Team Sky is men-only.]]></description>
