UPDATE (Saturday): The Council website is currently showing an incorrect result. Bill Frame’s vote total in Castle Ward was 1774, not 1174 as is stated on there. We’ve contacted the Returning Officer and asked for it to be corrected.

EDIT, one year later: This page comes quite high up on Google searches for Colchester election results – you can find this year’s on the Council website by clicking here.

  1. Well done to the Highwoods Independent Party for a storming victory- your family make such a difference to our area- Gerard for prime minister!!

  2. I thought at one point we would be there all night queuing up to vote. It’s only the next day that we heard that it was even worse for some – they didn’t get to vote at all as they run out of time. Incredible, in this day and age, and in this country – that we can’t organise an election!
