Writing

I'm a writer, so this seemed like a good place to display some of things I've created. There's not much here at the moment, but I'll add to it over time. You can also find some of my current writing in What You Can Get Away With, my weblog.

American Emails	While I was in the US in 2002, I sent back a number of emails to my friends and family which are gathered here. I'm planning to use them for a book, tentatively entitled Motel Land, so consider this your chance to read the first draft in advance.
Bartcop Books	During the early part of 2002, I wrote a (supposedly regular) Books webpage as part of the Bartcop site. I don't do it anymore, but you can see all the columns I wrote here.
Eve of Destruction	A piece I wrote for Bartcop.com in December 2000, just after Gore had conceded the election. Mostly a rant, but some bits of it are oddly prescient.
Quantum Politics	A long What You Can Get Away With entry on why we need to embrace the word 'maybe' more often in politics.
Welcome Home	A sitcom script I wrote with a friend a couple of years ago. Having done the round of rejections with various TV companies, we thought it might as well see the light of day somewhere. You can also read the character profiles and ideas for further episodes that were part of the pitch as well.
